About Erin
The head coach
My name is Erin and I am a runner.
I have been running since I was a teenage and am closing in on almost 20 years of running. I am the proud mother of two elementary aged kids and have worked hard to balance motherhood, my full time profession and running. I love running. I love training. I love the camaraderie of the running community. I love racing and achieving PBs. And I love helping other women find their own love for training, community and achievement.
I currently train with the Halifax Road Hammers in Halifax, NS. I’m a 4-time Boston Marathoner with a PB of 3:03:00 at California International Marathon in 2016 where I placed 64/2840 in the female field. I’ve run countless half-marathons and hold a PB of 1:24:57. My summer season always involves 5 and 10km races and I was proud make it into the elite field at the 2021 and 2022 Medavie Canada National Championships where I ran an 18:02 and an18:46. I also enjoy the track. In 2022, I broke the NS Provincial Record for the Indoor 3000m at USATF’s Indoor National Masters Championship in NYC, also becoming the national winner of the F40-44 category.
The crowning achievement of my running career was my July 2011 17-day, 424km run across the African country of The Gambia. I was the first documented runner, male or female, to run across the country and raised $35,000 for HIV, malaria and child rights work in the country.
I am the founder and Head Coach of Love Training More, established 2016. I am an NCCP coach in-training. I have been involved in coaching high school cross-country, track and field and girls run clubs since 2008. I coached senior girls high school teams to a Capital Region title in 2016 and to second place in the Province of NS in 2017 as well as intermediate boys to a bronze medal in 2021 and senior boys to a silver medal in 2022.
I can’t wait to meet you and hear your goals. I hope to help you reach them while finding joy along the way.
I hope to help you love training more.
